The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) visa is an intergovernmental organization consisting of ten member countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam). The organization promotes integration among its members.
It was formed in 1967 to promote economic growth, social progress, and sociocultural evolution. It is an official United Nations observer and aims to resolve differences peacefully. ASEAN covers 3% of the total land area on Earth and the combined population of the countries is 640 million people.
